Check Tides First

Cornwall's tidal range is dramatic. Always consult tide tables before launching, especially at Kynance and Marazion.

Wear Your Leash

A coiled ankle leash is non-negotiable in Atlantic waters. Cold water shock can incapacitate even strong swimmers.

Emergency: 999

Ask for the Coastguard. Tell them your location and the nature of the emergency. Always tell someone your plan before heading out.
